On August 26, 2014, the CCRC held the graduation thesis defence session for its postdoctoral researchers of the 2012 cohort. Jin Zhongxia, Director of the Financial Research Institute of the People’s Bank of China (PBC); Yi Cheng, Deputy Director of the Research Bureau; Huang Mudong, Deputy Director of the Credit Information System Bureau of the PBC; Chen Daobin, senior expert with ICBC; Wang Xiaoming, Head of the CCRC and Secretary of the CCRC Party Committee; and Wang Xiaolei, Deputy Director-General of the CCRC acted as the examiners in this session.

Four candidates -- Qin Jun, Ding Anping, Jiang Yong and Ma Yigui -- each presented a report on the results of their respective research projects undertaken in their time at the PBC. At the session, the examiners took in the researchers’ findings on subjects such as the establishment of a consumer credit repair mechanism; the building of a rural credit system; risk monitoring for the credit market; research and development in the field of early warning leading indicators; and the building of Internet finance and the credit reporting system, all of which shared a strong focus on the CCRC’s work priorities with research conclusions that bore a certain degree of feasibility.

Following a process of deliberation and appraisal, the examiners were of the opinion that all four postdoctoral researchers displayed remarkable competence in their respective areas with research output that could be considered as innovative, forward-looking and of certain application value to the CCRC. It was hence unanimously agreed that all four would graduate from the postdoctoral programme as scheduled.
